Hi, I'm Benton Demeter
I am a Digital Product Specialist with a foundational background in front-end architecture and platform operations.
I do the work of managing digital product ecosystems, bridging strategy, digital marketing, automation, and internal tool infrastructure to eliminate organizational bottlenecks.
My focus is digital product management. I enjoy managing digital ecosystems, building tools that help groups work faster, and setting up digital systems to drive real-world business results.
My Work
My approach to technology focuses on digital product management. I care about how software ecosystems connect, scale, and function as a whole. Below are three case studies showing how I manage platform integration, optimize product workflows, and streamline internal tools to solve team bottlenecks and scale digital impact.
Modernizing a Legacy Digital Ecosystem for Agile Campaign Delivery
Project Overview: A systems-level implementation project, executing a transition from a legacy CRM and CMS architecture to a modular digital ecosystem for a large non-profit.
Campaign Launch Speed: Cut down deployment times from days to hours
Team Efficiency: Allowed marketing teams to work 100% independently
Development Focus: Shifted engineering time from 80% maintenance to 100% strategy
The Bottleneck
Originally, the organization used a legacy all-in-one CRM/CMS system that required every single webpage, landing page, and marketing email to be hand-coded from scratch. This created a massive bottleneck. Every minor text update or email change required custom developer hours, which stopped the marketing team from launching time-sensitive fundraising campaigns quickly.
The Technical Framework
I frequently shared feedback on the benefits of moving to a modern platform to eliminate this coding overhead. When leadership decided to transition to a modern CMS and marketing automation hub, I took on the development work to build out the new framework. Instead of hand-coding single pages, I built a modular system so other teams could work independently:
Built Reusable Block Libraries: Structured flexible, reusable layout blocks inside the website editor so future pages would automatically stay on-brand without custom code.
Created Agile Marketing Templates: Developed responsive email and landing pages, removing the need for daily developer intervention.
Streamlined Forms & Data Flow: Using a simple process for embedding forms into website pages so subscriber and donor data automatically fed into marketing automation workflows.

The Outcome
By setting up a modular system, we successfully eliminated the engineering bottleneck. Our marketing and content teams can now launch fundraising campaigns on their own. This allowed me to shift away from tedious daily maintenance and focus entirely on high-level technical optimization, interactive design, and workflow support.
Driving Supporter Engagement Through Interactive UX
Project Overview: A user experience (UX) and front-end development project creating interactive, gamified web features to increase donor engagement on key fundraising pages.
User Engagement: Transformed passive text into an interactive, gamified experience
Value Connection: Digitally visualized the exact impact of a $25 target donation
Performance Optimization: Maintained fast page load speeds with highly optimized animation assets
The Bottleneck
Static campaign pages and flat donation text can struggle to show prospective supporters the real-world impact of their contributions. When we launched campaigns highlighting children missing out on school lunches or promoting volunteer events, it was tough to bridge the gap between abstract money and tangible food aid, causing users to quickly scroll past or leave the page.
The Interactive Solution
I saw an opportunity to upgrade our campaign pages by introducing engaging, user-driven interactions. I acted as the designer and animator, moving away from flat visuals to build fluid, interactive web features:
Built a Gamified Volunteer/Donation Experience: Designed an interactive digital experience where web visitors could click, drag, and stack virtual supply items directly into a donation box using a built-in physics engine.
Integrated Live Value Tracking: Programmed a real-time counter that calculated the monetary value of each item as it dropped into the box, visually capping the interaction at $25, which is the exact cost to deliver a real food box.
Designed Fluid Narrative Animations: Created responsive storytelling animations for specialized campaigns, like an animation of a school bus gathering children with empty backpacks to visually ground a school lunches campaign.
The Outcome
Bringing gamified interactive elements to campaign pages changed how users interacted with campaign content. Letting users "fill a box" digitally made the impact of a $25 donation concrete and memorable, and turns passive visitors into emotionally connected supporters.
Driving Internal Digital Transformation & Operational Efficiency
Project Overview: An internal digital operations and platform optimization project to centralize project management tracking, eliminate team communication silos, and pilot emerging productivity tools.
Project Delivery Speed: Drastically reduced campaign delivery times across departments
Workflow Automation: Replaced manual follow-up loops with automated task handoffs
Team Visibility: Created a transparent, organization-wide digital roadmap for leadership
The Bottleneck
Rapid campaign execution requires tight alignment between our creative design, email marketing, web development, and leadership teams. Originally, project tracking and asset handoffs were managed through isolated communication channels, manual messaging, and disjointed tracking sheets. This created significant visibility gaps, resulting in communication bottlenecks and delayed campaign asset delivery.
The Operational Solution
I recognized that optimizing our external website required modernizing our internal tools first. I took ownership of structuring and launching our new internal productivity setup, acting as the primary system integrator and workflow lead:
Built Centralized Workspaces: Designed and deployed a centralized project management platform, creating unified tracking spaces tailored specifically for incoming web production and marketing campaign requests.
Set Up Cross-Functional Automations: Programmed automated status tracking and handoff rules to instantly notify the design or email deployment teams the moment a creative asset was approved, cutting out manual communication delays.
Piloted AI Productivity Workflows: Led the initial integration of AI copilot tools within our workplace ecosystem, helping team members identify routine administrative tasks that could be safely automated.
The Outcome
The internal rollout of a modern, automated project infrastructure completely changed how our web and marketing operations function. By centralizing communication and asset handoffs, we dramatically flattened project delivery times and scaled our team's daily production capacity. This project proved that true digital transformation includes engineering efficient internal systems that empower teams to work smoothly at scale.
